The university offers 54 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The NIT Agartala course list includes dual degree programmes.

The mode of study of courses offered is regular. The National Institute of Technology Agartala courses are B.Tech , B.Tech + M.Tech., B.S and M.S , M.C.A., M.B.A. , M.Sc., M.Tech., and Ph.D.

The duration of dual degree programmes is 5 years. All the postgraduate courses except M.C.A. offered by NIT Agartala are of 2-year duration.

The NIT Agartala eligibility criteria vary as per the level of degree and specialisation. Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria to be eligible for admission to NIT Agartala courses.

NIT Agartala has failed to offer PG integrated courses as well as PG 3-year and 6-year course programs for its students.
